DAY 1: Tiger, Take Me To Paradise

Feb 5th

it was an early morning and an early flight and i was standing at the wrong end of the airport. my dad was rushing to work and just happened to drop me off 4 terminals away from where i was meant to be. (how convenient) but it was okay, not to panic yet. i was about an hour early, only problem was i didn't quite know to get my tired ass across to tiger airways terminal since the people decided to locate it in a ridiculously isolated place. gay people, so there i was little me, literally dragging 4 heavy luggage bags across the airport. can only imagine how funny i looked. anyway, after a tiring push to terminal and plenty of phone calls, i finally bumped into joanne and her mother and shortly after theresa and janet came along too. panic started to spark after we realised anna was running really late, we'd checked in, we'd weighed our bags and anna was still no where in sight. check-in gates were closing and we were growing grey hairs wondering where in the world ANNA COULD BE! literally 10 secs before close off time anna made her entrance, and luckily made it on time. oh anna :)

the flight was pretty good. me, joanne and anna were seated together and theresa and janet across the aisle. it was a 2 hour flight up to GC airport, spent on eating chippies and drinking oj and gauging in gossip magazines. (which i love!) so confused about whats happening with brad and angie. (come onnnn!) ugh! anyway :) we got to the airport and bussed it to our awesome fantastic super cooool Solaire apartment, checked in and made our way up to level 6 room 604. the place was amazinggggg. so modern and spacey. there was a balcony, LG cable tv, ipod speakers, dishwashers, washing machine, dryer, WALK IN WARDROBES (omfg), best view from our windows of the city and the bright lights, etc. so good!

the day plan was to go grocery shopping, soak up the sun at the beach, hit the pool, chill and club. we opted for all the sale items at coles, ending up buying way over 30 items for about 150 bucks. saving money whoo! we hit surfers beach, which btw is soo beautiful! lifeguards everywhere, so so were hot beach bodies. the sun was really awesome considering (wait for it, confession time) i haven't gone to the beach all summer til today. we baked ourselves and luckily nobody got burnt. joanne got stung by a blue jellyfish (AH!) on the way home, me and janet decided to take a look at our swimming pool/gym/sauna/spa compact on the 13th floor (i think it was 13 or 14) it was so awesome. we stayed there for a while before going back to our floor. we had lasagne and wedges and salad for dinner that night. yum! bedroom nightclub was our stop for friday night. it was really packed and really cheap entry ($10) and the music was so goood. clubbing up there is so much better coz every club and pub and stripclub are all located in one area so hopping is easy as! there arent many asians but there were a lot of nice, beach body boy babes. :) with day one ending in fun, there was only so much more to look forward to.
